From Business Protection to Genetic Testing – Last Week’s Key Protection Updates

If you are not already a regular attendee of our Protection Forums, I would urge you to participate in the future. A couple of weeks ago we had one of the best ever sessions dedicated to the complex subject of Business protection, the first part of this session can be found here May forum recap – Part 1

The session highlighted significant issues advisers need to understand with outstanding contributions from people like Lee Thomas Pangea Life, Stuart Halliwell Business Protection Focus Stuart Lloyd, Ben Reyer Towergate Health & Protection and Zoe Priselac Way More. The session also contained some crucial messages for insurers highlighting how they are getting many things wrong in this important area and why most of their products are not fit for purpose for modern businesses.

Part two will appear on Thursday this week.

Our next two protection forums will address:.

What are you Consumer Duty responsibilities and alternative cover options if Legal & General have withdrawn Fracture Cover from your clients their clients without fracture cover 11AM to Noon May 28th

Growing Protection in the Mortgage MarketNoon to 1:30 June 3rd

You can register for tickets for each session from this link

Also, last week Amanda Newman Smith looked at how Zurich’s pregnancy and early childhood cover offers a unique approach to expectant families, while Jason Colman considered Who helps advisers introduce critical illness cover to young people.

Sticking with Jason and Critical Illness, he also looked at How to bring certainty and clarity to every critical illness recommendation. If you click through to this link you can actually find the full list of six different free training sessions we are offering advisers.

Finally, on Friday we published the second part of the analysis from our medical panel on Genetic testing Huntington’s Disease and insurance – What advisers must know – Part 2. Some invaluable insight from our medical team! Just in case you missed part one you can find it here. A third instalment will appear this Thursday.

Let me also highlight two new studies over on our Adviser Software.com site; the first relates to how FE fundinfo have added the AdviserAsset software they acquired last year to their product range. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who gives Investment Platform advice. Also, an analysis of Avenir AI Tools & Services.

I am speaking to growing numbers of advisers who are using our AdviserSoftware.com site as the natural place to start their search and due diligence process when looking for new technology, so if you are looking to update your tech it is well worth a visit. Equally if your favourite tech is not listed (we already cover over 250 systems) please let us know and we will put it through our process.

Have a great week.
